Privacy, cookies and microphone data

TuneGuitar guide · Updated 6 October 2026 · How we prepare our guides

Microphone audio

Your guitar audio is analysed in this browser. TuneGuitar does not record, store or upload microphone audio. Enabling the microphone requires your permission. Stopping listening, changing out of microphone mode or hiding the page releases the capture. Browser or operating-system microphone permission can also be revoked in their settings.

Saved settings and offline pages

Guitar profiles, setlists, preferences and analytics consent are saved in this browser on this device. They do not automatically sync to another device. The offline cache contains site pages and code, not audio recordings. Delete profiles in My guitars, delete setlists in their controls, or clear the site data in your browser to remove the local copies.

Google Analytics

The Google Analytics library for G-G2RC12Y00X loads only after you accept analytics. Use Cookie settings in the footer to change that choice. Consent is retained for up to 183 days. The implementation strips queries and fragments from the page and referrer URLs configured for Analytics, disables Google signals and advertising personalisation signals, and does not send microphone audio. Withdrawing consent disables the stream and removes this site’s prefixed analytics cookies.

Advertising and Google

Pages with advertising integration contact Google AdSense, which may use cookies, local storage, IP addresses and other identifiers to deliver, measure and protect advertising, subject to its consent settings and policies. Advertising consent is separate from analytics consent. Where Google’s consent message applies, Ad privacy settings in the footer lets you reopen it once the service makes that control available. Google explains its processing and advertising controls at the links below.

Hosting, links and shared setups

The hosting service processes routine connection information needed to deliver and protect the site. External arrangement links open other providers, whose privacy practices apply there. A setup or setlist share link includes the settings and any names you choose to put in it. Anyone you give that link to can read those contents; do not put private notes in a public share link.

Contact

For a privacy question, use the Web Vibes contact route on the About page and identify the relevant TuneGuitar feature. Do not send passwords or microphone recordings. This notice describes the site’s current implementation; external providers maintain their own policies and controls.
