Listen. Adjust. Repeat.
Turn the tuning peg slowly until the pitches match. Or use your microphone and follow the meter to the centre.

Follow the notes in your chosen tuning, from thickest to thinnest. Check every string again when you finish, then you’re ready to play.

Can I tune without a microphone?
Yes. Choose “Tune by ear”, play a string tone and match the sound with your guitar. Each tone repeats until you stop it. Turn off Repeat to hear a single pluck.
Does this work with an electric guitar?
Yes. The reference notes are the same for a six-string electric, acoustic or classical guitar in standard tuning. For microphone mode, use a clean amp sound at a comfortable volume, or place your device close enough to hear the unplugged string.
Why isn’t the microphone picking up my guitar?
Allow microphone access in your browser, move closer and reduce background noise. Pluck one open string at a time and let it ring. If access is blocked, check your browser’s site settings or use the reference tones instead. Microphone tuning requires a secure HTTPS connection.
Is my audio recorded or sent anywhere?
No. The tuner analyses microphone audio locally in your browser. It does not record, save or upload your playing. Press “Stop listening” to release the microphone.
